have Fun & Spread Fun - Let's talk hockey!
10/28/09 at Cranbrook:  Some of us got to see Tips practice.  It was interesting.  We won our 1st game.  5 more to go!
  With future SilverTips!
Next game is 10/31, we had a couple days to enjoy side trips.  W&K went to Banff, T&D went to Lake Louise.    Rocky Mountains are beautiful!  Tony & Jessica went to Edmonton for Shopping!  Patty & Duane went...????
Warning!!  next picture may cause you to lose appetite or blind you..... Very scary halloween picture.....
10/31/09 Halloween day at Red Deer: Some drivers saw a very scary sight along the Hwy.2 this morning.
I am NOT responsible for this!
Shopping at Costco for Tailgate Party!!  Lots of hockey stuff!!
We had great Tailgate Party at Red Deer.  It was very cold and windy.  But it didn't stop Everett Hockey Fanatics to have FUN!  Vice President of Marketing of Red Deer Rebel's showed up and he said " This is first time I ever see somebody having tailgate party here in last 18 years.  Way to go guys! "  and took a picture of us.

Way to go hockey FANatics!  Thank you for Rebel's fan, Tips fan, family & friends of Tips player to join us in a cold cold evening!  We had a great time.  And Tips WON!!
Baby Elvis (I want him/her?) & Lady bug (Dale's niece - so cute!).

 All mascots need a hug!

Kyoko met them 2 years ago at Central Swing!  He grow so much!  Nice to see them again.  See you in 2 years.
11/1/09 Edmonton: Here we go to a Big city!  All about Oilers & Wayne Gretzky here.
We found Fat Elvis at Edmonton, thank goodness, at least he had clothes on!
11/1 Sunday 2 PM game: Edmonton native, Kent Simpson was in goal!  It was a very exciting game.
Went to shoot out.... and we got the Victory!  Kent & Kellan were stars!

Wayne Gretzky is cheering for Tips!

No, no, Oil Kings goalie wasn't this bad!

  Is he in trouble  again?!
No, officers
also like to have FUN!
Oil Kings mascot, King Louie won the best mascot award from this trip!   2 years ago was Rowdy of Medicine Hat.
But no mascot is better than Lincoln, the King of Bear!
OK, somebody didn't get the memo.  Gudas doesn't fight, Adrian (#2)!  I love both players, so I don't want to see them fight and get hurt!  Well, looks like Gudas won this fight.  He doesn't need to fight.  He can beat any players by a clean hip check!

Newest kid, #12 Scott MacDanold blended in just fine and did a great job with Harper & Langkow line. Welcome to Everett, Scott!
Look who was there to see the game!  Future Tips and Former Tip, Graham Potuer.  Good looking kids, eh?
After another victorious game:  All of the Oil Kings players came out for fans. (Signature Sundays)

I met #2 Adrian Van de Mosse.  He is a good friend of Kyle (Beach) and we went to Vancouver Memorial Cup together.  He became very strong player!
Yes, I did tell him NOT mess with Gudas.  Love you Adrian!
Tips celebrate another victory with their family & friends after the game.
After the game we went to Blue Willow for dinner.  This is the MUST visit restaurant in Edmonton for hockey fans.  Great service, great stories from the owner and lots of hockey pictures. (and great food too!)
We didn't have a reservation and the place was full.  But when the owner saw our Tips jersey he made a table available for us!  Another Tips magic!! (Thanks to young goalie named Doug Soetaert)
11/3/09 at Medicine Hat:
well, it may hard to believe, but Woody was actually working (this is his business trip!) on a way to Medicine Hat and we missed the sign!  So this "World biggest Tipee" will represent MH sign.
At Medicine Hat, Russ & Stan joined us for the rest of trip!  We are at hockey sacred ground.  Surprised police officer didn't stop Tony's car!  Love this car!  Good job, Tony.  Yes, you are ehFAN!
  Respect!!
Another Fun/Fan gathering!  So much healthy bar food and beer!!  No wonder I gain weight!
All of these red banners...where they came from!?  This is why they deserve our respect!
Yes, this is my favorite mascot!  He is crazy & fun!  No I am not talking about the tiger, I am talking about the bold guy!
You have to have Caeser in Canada!  Make it spicy!!

Mr. Gabe Minville is only 17 years old, but he is BIG!! (and look like 35!)  Yes, we can use BIG D. anytime!
Another Victory! Team work! Respect!
After the game:  So nice to see Brown again!  Such a nice kid.  No, Kent doesn't have black eye... we can't fix it!  Good game Thomas!
11/4/09 at Lethbridge:
" Hi, Mr. Pinto!" Alberta has lots of " World biggest " things middle of nowhere.

We met lots of Beach Fans at Lethbridge.  They only had good things to say about him.  He is a character and we love him too!  Miss you Kyle!!

Gudas was trying to save empty net goal.... fortunately puck didn't go in, but Gudas did.  He came so fast and crashed in the net hard.  He hit his head hard straight against the wall.  This was most scary thing I saw on this trip. (yes, more than the pic. of Woody at Red Deer!)  I hate to see any player get hurt!!
Well, we win some and we lose some.  This was our first loss.  Tips may be getting tired from long trip.  It was "Canadian game" tonight.   Below, Tony & Doris getting autograph from Lethbridge player.
11/5/09 Moving to big city Calgary, a very modern and nice place!  Famous Santa of Junior Hockey Junkies made a reservation for us at Flames Central for tonight.  Best sports bar ever!  It was pricey.... but it's a must-visit place for hockey / sports fans!  Very impressive.
Tony enjoys his $30 nachos with skinny Santa.
11/6/09 at Calgary: Game night!  Huge arena (dah... Flames play here.) and Huge Screen - I loved to see the replays!  Thank you for your hospitality, JHJ!!
All cute girls in Calgary has mustache!!

BEACH??!  Yes, it's Cody Beach.  He plays different style from his older brother, but sure looks like him a lot!!
2 years ago, he still had a baby face...
now he has mustache!  It was really
nice to see Cody playing.
After the game, team left to Everett.  Well, we lost at OT, but 9 points total out of 12 is very good guys!
Thank you for all of great games!
We had a great tip!  Way to go Tips!  Way to go Fans!
11/07/09 Saturday: Tony, Jessica, Tom & Doris went to Kamloops to see Blazers Vs. Rockets play.  Bill & Teresa went back home for Seahowks game on Sunday.  Russ & Stan, Patty & Duane.... where were you guys??  Hope everyone made home OK.

Woody & Kyoko decide to stay one more night at Calgary to see Dinos (U of Calgary) Vs. Huskies (U of Saskatchewan) game!!  8 former Tips were playing in this game.  Can you name every one?
Extra!
On this trip we had a FUN time with our old friends (Tony, Jessica, Tom, Doris, Santa) and met wonderful new friends, Russ, Stan, Patty, Duane, Bill and Teresa. (Patty, welcome to ehFAN!) We also met lots of nice fans from opponent teams, players' family & friends, and former Tips.  All of you made this trip more FUN and special.  Thank you very much!  Let's have FUN and spread FUN!
Dinos:
#15 Torrie Wheat
#8 Graham Potuer
#40 Kyle Annesley
     and
#10 Joel Eisenkirch

Graham told us #10 Joel played for Tips 2 weeks or so.
 Huskies:
 #6 Zach Sim
 #15 Jesse Zetariuk
 #30 David Reekie
 #31 Jeff Harvey

Zach didn't play because he was sick.  Want to see Harvey play next time.  2 strong goalies UofS has!  Lucky!!
We cheered both teams, of course.  Huskies Won!  Reekie & Zetariuk played really well!  Reekie was as strong as before.  My goodness, Zetariuk looked really well.  He became very dependable & strong player!
We missed Torrie, Kyle and mystery player Joel.  But we had chance to meet Graham, Zach, Jessie, David and Jeff after the game.
        Nice smiles!
11/8/09 Driving day to Home:  It was beautiful drive.  Some snow & icy places, but over all it was easy drive.  Took 12 hours total ( 1hour break & 11hours drive)
We stopped nice town call Revelstoke for lunch.  The bear brought us in.  The restaurant, Bad Paul's Road House Grill was really surprisingly good.
At the Sumas Boarder:  We are almost home!  Very nice officer said " Welcome home!"  wish all officer are this nice!
Home sweet home!  Good job, Woody!
